Kendall had a very slow start getting down here due to weather and her flights being canceled at the SF end. Here she is with Trish and Dean who helped her get "big boy" down to us.
Once she got here things slowed way down for her. Having never spent the night on a sailboat, she left her options open as to whether or not she wanted to stay in a hotel. We were moored at Paradise Marina where there are swimming pools, a beach, lots of restuarants, and a mall with ice cream parlors. What more could one ask for?
Kendall's first day with us, we took her out for a sail. She did great, enjoying the whales spouting, and the light breeze.
Two days later we all went to play with the dolphins. We got kisses from them and got lots of time touching them and enjoying their antics. It was all very commercial, but very, very enjoyable. Dolphins are definitely fun loving and gregarious creatures.Of course, no visit with Kendall can go without getting assistance on the computer.
We thoroughly enjoyed having Kendall stay with us and were delighted that she didn't want to go to a hotel. She is a trooper. Putting up with having to hand flush a toilet, and then putting up with it plugging up. Getting in and out of the dinghy (our "car") was a challenge, but she managed without assistance. I hope her muscles have recuperated from their strain. I do believe she left in better shape than she arrived. We were so sorry to hear she got a cold when she got back to Bandon.
Love to all,
D & P
